For the past few weeks I’ve been disconnecting.
Disconnecting from social media and connecting face to face.
Being really present, not checking my phone or social media, not being in a hurry.
Connecting to people and to life.
Life without internet.
We are all so busy but yet spend an unhealthy amount of time online. Scrolling through people’s lives like we know them, seeing friends’ pictures and updates but yet not seeing or talking to them nearly enough to really know them.
What is there left to share once you meet up with a friend if we put up all the details of our life online?
To disconnect from the social media and connect face to face.
Spend less time sharing online and more time sharing face to face, really connecting and getting to know another human being.
Delete some apps.
Unsubscribe from email lists you rarely use or need. (check out Unroll.me which can do the job for you)
Call an old friend you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
Meet with someone you wanted to connect for awhile but never had the time.
Spend quality time with your close friends and family. Be present!
Are you ready for the challenge? Let’s see how easy it is for you to disconnect and what you find out about yourself and the world around you once you disconnect from the internet and connect to life.
I’d love to hear about your experience and how this week will go for you.
